final stages

Ich nähere mich dem Ende meines Herr der Ringe Projektes für mein Display beim Massive-Voodoo-Wettbewerb. Bei Snaga fehlen nun nur noch einige Lasuren auf der grauen Hose sowie ein paar kleinere Lederteile. Haare und Metall schließen das Projekt dann ab. Das Leder hat mir bisher viel Spaß bereitet. Hier habe ich überwiegend mit Lasier- und Tupftechniken gearbeitet. Ziel war es kein neues glänzendes Leder zu erreichen, sondern eine runtergekommene Variante, auf die der Träger nicht achtet.

I come closer to the point of finishing this fellow. Good, as it is meant for the Massive-Voodoo-contest. I still have to do some washes over the grey trunks, few little leather parts and hair as well as the metal. I had fun while doing the leather armour, as this technique is quite simple, using washes and a sponge to apply the colour. The goal was to get an old dirty leather and not a new look, as the orc probably won't care that much for it.
